It started with a Dream
My story begins in grade school, when I was still learning to play guitar. I remember inviting friends over to record goofy songs and make "mixes" on my Mixman DM2. It was then on my first computer that I started manipulating audio and sampling to make my first tracks. I did this sporadically throughout my teenage years and started applying myself as a producer more seriously while I was in college.
By the time I graduated, I had secured a signed single and started working with High Chai Recordings as an artist and producer. It was during this time that I started getting more into mixing and mastering as a necessity to elevate my work with the added benefit of being able to share that experience with others. I realized that I thoroughly enjoyed both the mixing and mastering process as much or more than the writing process!
Now I enjoy working with other artists to craft their own unique and powerful sonic signature. Each project begins with communicating so we can work together to understand both the creative vision of the work and how to improve the mix to reach the highest level of impact. Once we are on the same page, we begin to elevate your work to it’s highest potential through the mastering process.
MEET Josh
Josh Finfrock is a mixing & mastering engineer, producer, podcast host and healer that has been working with and tracking audio in various formats since 2003. Under the pseudonym Infrakt, he has worked with a number of leading artists and labels such as Stanton Warriors, High Chai Recordings and Punks Music.
